Meet Brenna

We are excited to welcome Brenna Bazinet as the newest team member at Forte School of Music. Brenna teaches singing and piano at Forte.

Brenna’s musical training:
Brenna grew up in the Cowichan Valley, and began singing at the age of 6! Brenna grew up singing in local choirs and participating annually in the local music festival. She has a Bachelor of Music from Ambrose University where she studied voice and has won multiple awards for competitions in Alberta and BC.

In Brenna’s teaching:
Brenna has a passion for performing and is looking forward to inspiring her students to find their musical voice and passion for their instrument. Her favourite styles to teach are classical and musical theatre. She is also always up for a Disney tune (who isn’t)!

A little known musical fact about Brenna: It was in university that Brenna discovered her deep love for music as she learned more about ear training, repertoire in other languages, and music history.

Brenna’s favourite style of music to sing is: If you would have asked her a few years ago, she would have said musical theatre. Since graduating from university however, she now is a huge fan of classical repertoire and opera, and loves to learn a good aria any chance she can get!
