Should I Stay, or Should I Go?

With cold and flu season upon us, there are many questions being asked about when it is okay to come into the studio and when should you opt for an online lesson instead. We have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions, to help clear up any confusion. If you still find your questions unanswered, please do not hesitate to ask! You can reach the studio by phone (250.715.8200) or email (lessons@forteschoolofmusic.ca) at any time to ask anything that remains unclear. Health and safety are our #1 priority at Forte (and making beautiful music)!

Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions:

If I have tested positive for Covid-19 is it okay to come into the studio?

No. If you, or anyone in your household is positive for Covid-19, you are prohibited from entering the studio. We would love to set up an online lesson, however, so please give us a call!

My child has a case of the generic cold or flu, is it okay if they come in for their lesson?

No. We would prefer to not take any risks, and kindly ask that you call or email the studio to arrange to have an online lesson instead.

My child stayed home from school today because they weren’t feeling well, is it okay for them to come in for their lesson?

Probably not. If they weren’t feeling well enough to attend school, they likely won’t be feeling up to music lesson. If they don’t want to miss out on their lesson, let’s schedule an online lesson instead!

Is it okay if one of my children waits in the lobby while their sibling has their lesson?

Yes. If your children are of age where they are able to be unsupervised by an adult, they are more than welcome to wait in the lobby.

We hope this clears up questions as they arise over the next few weeks and throughout cold and flu season. Each situation is also unique, so please feel free to call or email the studio to talk about it. We would love to come up with the best solution for you!

Thank you to each of you for your kindness and cooperation.
