Spring Into Song Fundraiser

CMS Food Bank Donation

Dropping off our Spring Into Song donations!

We kicked off March with our second annual CMS Food Bank Fundraiser, Spring Into Song! This year we had a wide array of musical groups ranging from young children to adults. It was inspiring to see such a contrasting program of music and talented musicians come together for one great cause. Our afternoon of music included performances by: Woodruff Youth Marimba Band, Sing Victoria’s Choirs, Crystal Singers Women’s Choir, Forte’s In Harmony, and Forte’s Senior Glee Club.

This year, Spring Into Song raised $800 and four heaping boxes of food for the CMS Food Bank. We had our donation bins at the front door this year, but also added a table of Bernard Callebaut chocolate that was kindly donated to be sold for $2 a bar.

Our local CMS Food Bank services approximately 300 families a month within our small area. This is a staggering number and includes households of one, full families, and single parent homes. As a small local business, we feel it is important to help out those that make up our community. We all have to work together, give back, and provide support where we can.

Big Thank You’s to:

Forte's In Harmony

Performance by Forte’s ‘In Harmony’ at Spring Into Song.

At Forte, we were thrilled not only at the inspiring afternoon of music, but the generosity of our audience and our ability to donate such a generous amount. We love starting spring in the Cowichan Valley by collaborating with other musicians, and giving back to the community. We look forward to Spring Into Song again next year!
